Our company is called Less Gets More. Our primary goal on this website is to help people with diabetes. It is a fact that more than one in seven (15 percent) of non-elderly adults in the U. S. who report having diabetes are uninsured. That means over 1.2 million adults in America report having diabetes, but have no health coverage. Uninsured adults with diabetes are less likely than their insured counterparts to receive medical and dental care; they are less likely to have a usual source of care; and they have substantially higher unmet health needs. In addition, they have high out-of-pocket spending burdens.
Blood glucose testing strips are a large part of that expense to the uninsured. It is our primary goal on this website to obtain unopened, unused glucose test strips from the diabetics that have an excess amount. Instead of just being thrown away and wasted, we can redistribute these strips to those in need.
